Wood Planks & Walkboards
Wood Planks are some of the most common types of planks you will find on a job site. They are easy to transport and take up less space when compaired to other types of planks. OSHA requires that there be at least 6″ of over lap on each side of the scaffolding frames to maintian a safe working invirment. This means if you have an 8 foor scaffolding frame, you will need 9 foot plansk to go along with it.
Load Boundaries on Scaffold Boards
- Light Duty – 25 pounds per square foot.
- Medium Duty – 50 pounds per square foot.
- Heavy Duty – 75 pounds per square foot.
